The workshop is an attempt to make analogue film making (a little) more accessible and cover basic knowledge of cinematography.
The participants will be given a camera and a brand new super 8 film cartridge Kodak Vision 3 to film whatever they want in the studio or outside. We will be taking a look into the basics of filmmaking and exposing the film, the use of the cameras, the preparation of the chemicals, film developing (hand processing), editing-splicing, the prep for projection, how to operate the projector and the basics of digitising analogue footage.
All the participants, under our guidance, will participate in the film developing, projection and digitising prep.
Price includes the use of the camera, one super 8 cartridge, film developing (spirals, tanks and chemicals), reels, leaders and splicing equipment, digitisation in high definition.
Camera and film will be provided, please let us know if you have -and want to use- your own.
The workshop is an all-day event.
