VASES

I shot these polaroids
from ’20 to ’22.

I used to sit & write at my desk
& every time I was taking a break
I was grasping my camera
& taking photos of vases.

If the photo looked good, I would keep it.
If it didn’t, I would just throw it away.

I could have taken pictures of
shoes, plates, ashtrays.

But I shot vases—

Vases is released as part of miss dialectic’s publishing activity. It is the second volume in a series of books edited by miss dialectic, that are dedicated to selected contemporary Greek visual artists and other cultural creators based in Athens, Greece.
