“It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn’t feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.” ― Neil Armstrong
Jilian Viglaki is choosing to over-identify with the digital media, casting Falkor as the fictional Dragon of Technology who travels in every bizarre place of the world, glitches the rules of cartographic representation and gives us a glimpse of magic and humour to what we could call an act of disrobing power. We follow the flight of Falkor through means of production of modern life, from stocks of goods in ports, to tourist cruisers, to warzones all around the world, all gathered in screenshots and refined compositions of pixelated chaos faithfully rendered in print. Delightful and uncompromising, Falkor lifts all the gore of digital disembodiment to new Dadaist highs.
